Maintaining and repairing the 5637 steam engine – built in 1925 –  is extremely expensive, particularly in view of the need to have a complete boiler overhaul every ten years. The cost of keeping 5637 in running order cannot be met from the steaming fees paid by hiring railways alone, so any contributions you could make would be very gratefully received.
